Controlling the Subconscious Mind

By Stephen C Campbell

One of the most important aspects of the human life is to control the subconscious mind. Keeping it under control is the best way of getting the maximum out of the life. Most of the people today know what consciousness is. Sub consciousness is in fact, the exact opposite thing. Sometimes, some acts are performed without any conscious awareness. Take for example; bad thoughts creep into the mind despite the hard efforts to restrict it.

There are many other emotions like anger, jealousy, and hatred that come in ones mind. It is a big question about the origination of these thoughts. This is the work of the subconscious-mind. Subconscious-mind is nothing but the total of the past experiences of a person. Thus, whatever a person does today is based upon the experiences of the past.

Techniques of controlling the subconscious mind:

One of the basic techniques of controlling the subconscious-mind is the breathing technique. This is the easiest technique and can be done anytime and anywhere. It can even be used in a routine basis like study, sitting or any other activity. This also reduces the stress level and is effective while the person is angry. There are several steps involves in this process.

Steps in this process:

In the first step, the person has to close his mouth and start breathing slowly through the nose. Holding the breath for sometime and imagining the fresh air to move all about the body is the second step. The last step is to breath out the air through the nose. Be absolutely relaxed and watch all the stress and pain go away after the process. This process has to be repeated several times in the day for the best result.

Reprogramming and controlling the subconscious mind

Controlling or programming the subconscious mind is very important. The process of controlling the mind involves two levels. In the first level, the influence on the mind of people between 0 - 12 is observed. All the various cultures and traditions are learned from them and all this information is stored in the subconscious-mind. This thing can be better explained with the help of an example. Suppose a teacher tells a student that he will never be able to achieve anything in his life. This message is saved in the subconscious-mind. This is a negative belief that has been stored in the student mind and it helps him perform better in the future.

The second level of controlling the subconscious-mind consists of the beliefs about the life and the world. For example, if a person thinks that he will never be able to succeed in his life, then he will surely not succeed because he has blocked all the positive thoughts that can elevate the subconscious-mind.

Controlling the subconscious mind is very important to master this mortal body. The subconscious mind has a lot of energy stored and harnessing it rightly, is the key to success in life.
