What is Hypnosis

By Georgina Powell,CCHt

What do Albert Einstein, Jackie Kennedy-Onassis, Henry Ford, and Mozart have in common? Give up? All have benifited from hypnosis to make positive changes in their lives.

Hypnosis can help you to better understand yourself. It can help you to change bad habits into good ones. It can help you turn your negative or sad feelings into positive or happy ones. It can help you to effortlessly focus on almost anything in your life that you would like to change, while leaving you unburdened by analytical or pessimistic thoughts.

Unfortunately, hypnosis and hypnotists have long been portrayed in a negative light by television, films, and other media. Most people are familiar with the image of hypnosis as a traveling stage show in which people are made to bark like dogs or act like chickens. We've been led to believe that, while under hypnosis people are unconscious and unaware of their surroundings. These and other misconceptions could not be further from the truth. A person of normal intelligence can only be hypnotized if he or she is willing to follow the hypnotist's instructions. The vast majority of hypnotists practice in offices not circus tents, and are deeply committed to helping people.

To understand how hypnosis works, we must first learn about how our mind works. In simple terms, our mind consists of two components: The conscious mind, and the subconscious mind. Our conscious, or logical, mind performs analytical duties, rationalizes, uses willpower in attempts to change personal habits, and serves as our short-term memory. The conscious mind also contains what is known as the critical factor, which operates automatically when you are using your conscious mind. The critical factor can be thought of as protecting the status quo of your beliefs and must be bypassed in order for you to accept any suggestion that conflicts with your existing beliefs.

The subconscious mind is where our brain deals with habits, emotions, long-term memory, and self preservation. It is the subconcious that the hypnotist focuses on. It is the part through which it is possible to bypass the critical factor entirely in order to open the door to positive change in your life. A good metaphor is to consider the subconscious as a hard drive in your computer which the hypnotist reprograms. When you have targeted a specific glitch, such as a bad habit, the hypnotist is able to guide you into a relaxed state where it is possible to reprogram your subconscious with positive suggestions that replace negative elements.

Our conscious mind finds it difficult to change bad habits. For example, when a person decides to try and quit smoking, he typically thinks he can accomplish this through willpower alone, however willpower simply initiates the desire to change and is usually unsuccessful at eliminating the problem. The subconscious mind is able to change bad habits by readily accepting positive suggestions. Therein lies the secret to the effectiveness of hypnosis. Through positive suggestion hypnosis changes your beliefs, attitudes, or behaviors which you would like to improve.

Some things that you can accomplish with the help of hypnosis are change your eating habits, stop smoking, conquer phobias, and improve athletic performance.

If hypnosis is going to work for you, it is crucial to understand that a doubtful or negative response to given suggestions leads to their rejection. On the other hand, if you really want the change and focus on the suggestion with a positive attitude, trusting that it works, the suggestion is accepted and positive change happens. Trusting and believing in hypnosis is the first step to a successful new you! For more information, visit www.performancehypno.com.

How to Use Your Subconscious Power

By: Jimmy Cox

The secret of using the power of your subconscious is by deliberate preparation and by conscious predetermination of the outcome. Beyond that, you do nothing; you can do nothing to cause its power to be a major factor in your life. This brings us to the "formula" or "rules and regulations".

I did not dream up this formula. Science did not invent it, although science can be credited with discovering it. When the Creator gave you that two-part mind of yours the conscious and the subconscious He made this formula "part and parcel" of the fact that you are a human being. The formula has three steps to it.

1. Deliberately condition your subconscious by what you do consciously. You are always aware of what you are doing. Apply a personal "golden rule" to this awareness. "Do unto your subconscious as you would have your subconscious do unto you." That is why the recording camera is in your mind.

2. Wholeheartedly want the best results from such self-influence action. Certainly this supports the creed of "do" that is now yours.

3. Let your subconscious have free reign in demonstrating its power. Let things happen to you and they will happen to you. That is why you have your will at the control panel in your mind.

The use of this formula will bring the power of your subconscious mind into full play. It is the only way to use it positively, and the word "positive" is the only thing that I would add to this formula. Of course, I don't know why anyone would want to be deliberate about negative conditioning, or would want, or let, negative outcomes be predominate, least of all you!

Go on a retreat to start right

Now we can add some practical "do it yourself" suggestions to this formula. You have heard of the "retreat" program that many churches have. Perhaps you have had the remarkable experience of attending one. In such an experience, a person spends many consecutive hours in silent contemplation with himself and the spirit of his Creator and, in a practical fashion, with his subconscious. The objective is for him to see himself, and his life, objectively. Frankly, the best way to make steps one and two of the formula most effective is to go to a "retreat" in preparation for them. The time you spend alone, if only a few minutes, in contemplation of deliberate action will start you off on the right track without the slightest doubt. Try to establish a pattern of brief but regular "retreats" in your daily life.

Avoid trial-and-error ideas

Don't use the trial-and-error method of finding the right material for your subconscious to work on. There is no need for you to do it. This pattern of action is a time and effort waster and unnecessarily delays achievement. Seek guidance, if you are uncertain of the best steps to take at any time. Books, courses, counseling, the experience of others are all resources for supplying yourself with usable knowledge. With such proven knowledge, you will follow the positive course of self-influence.

Your subconscious is a versatile powerhouse. It can, and is willing to, work on many actions and results at the same time. Give it the chance to work for you at its top capacity by having a variety of positive actions on your program at any one time. In fact, the more you use the power of your subconscious, the more it will appear to be a power in your life. Here is one certain instance where practice makes perfect.

Be positive! Be deliberate!

Deliberate guidance, positive guidance, is the key to using the power of your subconscious. The best use of this power is dependent upon this guidance.
Just let the subconscious do its work!

The Subconscious Mind and Your Past Understood

By: Jimmy Cox

You have a past and whether you are proud or unhappy about parts of it every part of your personal history is permanently engraved like carving in rock. You can't erase what is recorded, and certainly you can't go back and live your life over again with the idea of making a revision in your history.

Your past has great value

I am about to ask you to display all of your past history completely and objectively, but I assure you that it will be a private session, and a rewarding one.

Just what has happened in the past?

Facing the past, decide upon a sizable span of time. Make this period about a third of your present birthday total. Thus a person of 40 would consider the immediate past 13 or 14 years of his life. Considering the time span you choose, I want you to paint a word picture of everything of consequence that happened to you. This is not going to be too easy to do, and it will have no value as a practical resource if you try to do it as a mental exercise. There is a simple device that will serve most effectively.

Get a piece of paper and a pencil. Now, draw a line down the middle of the paper, from top to bottom. At the top, and to the left of the line, write "Negative." On the right of the line write "Positive." Take your pencil and paint that word picture of those past years by making two lists. Letting your memory have free reign, list everything of consequence that happened under either the "negative" heading (as being undesirable, unwanted), or under the "positive" heading (as being desirable, approved).

The "zeros" in your past are important

Now go back over the lists and classify them, item by item. Put a check mark in front of every item that you believe you controlled the influences which made it real in your life. In front of every item that you believe you did not control, because of overpowering outside influences, place a zero (0). If you are in doubt about an item, pass it by for the moment. Eventually you will get them all classified. In fact, I predict that you will go back and change the classification of some, after a bit. You may go back and change some tomorrow, or even next week.

Why your past is recorded as it is

Before you make any changes, and to complete the analysis, let your subconscious memory serve you again. Go back over both lists and mark each item with the reason it carries a check mark or a zero. To save you time, since you would eventually come to this conclusion yourself, let me suggest that one of four terms will describe the reason in each case. These are "planning," "decision," "judgment," and "action" (or "lack of action").

Use your pencil and write the reason after each item. Now take a look at the lists. The same reasons appear on both the left and right columns. "Decision," for example, appears in the negative column for items marked with zeros and check marks, and it appears in the positive column in the same way. Likewise the other three reasons are indiscriminately scattered through both columns, covering both zeros and check marks. There is great significance in this scattering of the same reasons. It means that there was a definite pattern to your past.

Now you know the whys and wherefores

Now you know specifically where negative tendencies shaped your life, and you know what specific self-influence factors to apply to overpower such tendencies in the future. You know where positive tendencies did their good work, and you know that you will increase these tendencies by the deliberate use of more of the same self-influence factors.

So accept the responsibility for the past as being yours, and thus make it an invaluable tool for deliberate self-influence in the future. This acceptance will make a "noteworthy" impression in your subconscious mind. It establishes a positive attitude, one which lays the groundwork for continued responsibility for your own life.

NLP And Self Hypnosis To Beat The Winter Blues

By Rintu Basu

This article is about some of the down sides to the winter months and how using a few mental tools you can not only survive but thrive through the dark, cold winter months.

Research shows that there is a general increase in stress levels amongst the western population on the run up to the end of the year and through the first couple of months into the next. This time of year is also associated with increases in financial instability, increases in domestic disputes and mental health problems.

There are many factors involved in this including the burden on time and money for the festive season, dark, cold winter months and being the time of year that people re-evaluate there lives.

There are several ways a few simple ‘mind tools’ can help to ease this burden.

The issue of stress is a complex one and I don’t intend this to be a complete answer all for the issues. I do know that by taking a few minutes a day to clear out the tension and relax can have a significant impact on stress levels. A simple self hypnosis trance induction that takes twenty minutes or less every day will significantly help. Just Google Self Hypnosis scripts and you will find hundreds of good ones along with instructions on how to use them.

The net result of spending this time will mean more focus, more energy and drive to get everything you need done. Of course the clever thing here is to use the induction to train the unconscious element of your mind to be more effective. But more of that below.

We are significantly impacted by sunlight and shorter daylight hours along with spending more time indoors. Again issues such as SAD and medical conditions are beyond the scope of this article, but by using creative visualization techniques you can have an impact on how you feel. A simple idea like visualizing yourself relaxing on a warm beach somewhere can take a lot of tension out of the day and bring you back to something like normality…but obviously there are some things we can do to increase the benefits still further.

One issue that seems to come up regularly at the end of a year is that people re-evaluate what they have achieved and their goals for the coming year. The impact of this for many people is dissatisfaction over the last year and a feeling of nothing changing for the year ahead. Here self hypnosis and NLP techniques can really help.

Your unconscious mind is the store house for all of your memories, emotions and habitual behavior. It is also where you keep your beliefs, values and identity. Using self hypnosis and NLP techniques you can draw a lot of these things into your conscious awareness and change them. The implications of this can be huge for example:

Changing habits from nail biting, smoking or getting to the gym. Letting go of negative emotions like social anxiety, fear of failure and depressive states. Installing empowering ideas, beliefs and values such as self confidence, abundance thinking, the ability to grow your business / role / relationships
By being able to let go of negative emotions around what you don’t want and increasing your motivation for what you do want you are creating a self propelling unconscious guided missile that is always driving you towards a better life.

Imagine being able to do this in twenty minutes a day and taking as much effort on it as you would a cat nap. Now for the bad news, generally getting this level of proficiency takes training. Any good self hypnosis course will give you the tools, process and practice to be able to do this quickly and easily. These sorts of courses only take a couple of days and are a great investment of time and money.

Think for a moment about all the stress and strain of life generally and consider the implications of not only surviving but thriving, growing and developing a better future just through a daily twenty minute cat nap…

Hypnotism Techniques

By Richard Osterude

Hypnotism is a temporary trance-like state of extreme concentration. It is induced by the person known as a hypnotist. His suggestions are immediately accepted by the subject. Hypnotism is the scientific use of hypnosis. And some professionals use hypnotism to treat the patients having certain psychological or medical problems.

Some hypnotism techniques are being used from the ancient times. As such, hypnosis is a natural part of the human behavior affecting social, physical and psychological experience. And the effect of hypnotism depends upon the motivation and willingness of the person being hypnotized. Note: hypnosis can be compared with sleepwalking and dreaming.

There are various techniques of hypnosis that are sure to be successful. The best technique is the one that you find the most comfortable; the best technique of your choice may be a combination of many different techniques.
Some of the popular hypnotism techniques include:

* Conversational or Covert Hypnosis * Subliminal Hypnosis * Handshake Induction * Hypnosis Spiral * Progressive Relaxation * Bright Objects * Video Hypnosis

Conversational is one of the best hypnotism techniques wherein the person who is hypnotized is not aware of this fact. It is very effective when the audience trusts the person planning the hypnotism. There has been a good amount of resonance established. This style requires perfection. It is highly effective for those who are in the fields such as sales.

Subliminal hypnosis

This is very useful for the persons who are attempting self-hypnosis and the behavioral improvement. It is one of the effective methods used to improve the lifestyle, enhance and persuade. And it is beneficial in advertising and in self-help situations and settings.

Handshake induction

In this technique, the intended audience goes in a trance-like phase immediately but for the short time. In this type of hypnosis, every second is important. The hypnotist should make the suggestions very quickly for the better impact. There are different skills within this technique. It is better to learn more skills of thought and working.

Hypnosis Spiral

This technique of hypnotism develops a trance like state. It is induced by the use of some type of object moving in the spiral movement. And it is the best method to achieve the desired result more effectively and quickly. The object used is generally the swinging pendulum.

Progressive Relaxation

This is the recommended method in many clinical settings. A hypnotic trance is induced in the subject by tensing and followed by relaxing every muscle in the body until it reaches to completely relaxed state. Then, the subject is open to suggestion. The hypnotist suggests that their eyelids are getting heavy, their limbs are going limp etc.

Bright Objects

This technique resembles with the hypnosis spiral. In this technique, the subject is focused on the shiny, bright object. It is done until it becomes difficult to focus and the eyelids of the object become heavy. At this time, the hypnotist starts to speak and gives the suggestion to close the eyes and relax. If the mind of the subject is open to suggestion, the subject will comply and the session will start.

Video Hypnosis

With the increasing popularity of the internet, the use of Video Hypnosis has become a favorite technique of many. This technique is effective for the self-hypnosis.

Hypnosis Guide

By Richard Osterude

You can use the hypnosis guide to learn how to use self hypnosis effectively to attain your goals. The self hypnosis guide will help you to relax your subconscious mind. Once you have got relaxed mind status then you can control your mind by giving positive suggestions. Self hypnosis will make you clear in analyzing your expectations. After setting clear goals you can use your energy to attain goals. Only those who have a clear mind set up can succeed in self hypnosis and achieving goals.

Before starting self hypnosis you must prepare your suggestion mind-set and then you learn the info by heart. You can tell them aloud or record in cd’s and hear them again and again. You should remember that your suggestions must be positive. Do not focus your mind on what you do not want to do.

With hypnotism you can improve your life quickly and easily. Just spend 20 minutes daily on hypnosis to tell your goals to your inner mind. You can feel positive reactions then. Thousands of people are getting benefits through Hypnosis motivation techniques nowadays. They are improving their self confidence and are successful in attaining their goals. You can also use your mind and energy to attain your ambitions quickly and effectively through hypnosis motivation techniques.

You can choose a particular time and place to use the hypnosis motivation techniques. Ensure that the place you select is peaceful. You should minimize the sounds and disturbances before starting hypnosis techniques. You must get to relaxed mood first. You can hear a favorite music to relax your mind.

Then you should settle peacefully and start breathing slowly. You should close your eyes. But remember you are not preparing to sleep. Then breathe relaxed as if your worries, stresses, life problems, pains etc are drained out of your body. You should spend more time to relax certain parts of body like neck and shoulders where you feel more stress and pain. Once you have got complete relaxation in body and mind then you should start to tell your suggestions to your subconscious mind.

Every time, tell suggestions to your mind - suggestions that say you CAN achieve - and then start setting simple goals. This will help to improve your self confidence. You should go over your suggestions repeatedly. After doing this, awaken out of the hypnosis stage with simple suggestions.

The hypnosis state will help you to relax yourself from pain and stress and it will help to improve your motivation. When you tell your suggestions repeatedly you can see that you are achieving your goal. In fact a medium trance is equal to deep sleep for hours together. With practice you can achieve easy and deep trance.

Setting positive suggestions in your inner mind particularly when it is in relaxed state will help you benefit more. You have to learn to avoid negative suggestions. This is because negative suggestions will have the same impact as positive suggestions. Hence it is better to set goals that you want to achieve rather than the problems you are facing in your daily life.

The Secret And The Subliminal Message

By Michael Mcgrath

In the movie The Secret you were introduced to the law of attraction and ways to create your reality in a way that you want. The movie outlined one of the most powerful laws in the universe but it never went far enough!

The power of visualization and the role of your feelings and thoughts were excellently covered in The Secret but the makers and teachers failed to explain the role of your subliminal thoughts.

In the movie you are told that everything you have in life is a direct result of your thinking. In addition you are told that your thinking is regulated by your emotions. How you feel about certain things in life determines how you think about them and how you think about them determines what you create, attract and ultimately what you experience.

Therefore, in order to create a life that you want all you have to do is to think about the things you do want and ensure that you do not think about the things you don't want. Now this sounds easy in theory but I am sure you will agree it is far from easy to practise!

It is true that people get what they do not want in life, whether those things are career related, relationship issues, financial problems, health issues or just negative life experiences in general, because they are giving thought to those things. However, how are you supposed to give thought only to the things you want to experience when everything in your environment is telling a different story? It is extremely hard to constantly imagine yourself as already having the life you want until your dominant thoughts reflect that when everything you can see, touch, smell and hear is the opposite of that inner vision!

Well the first step to doing this is to think of your vision in terms of not actually being that way already but thinking that it is in the process of coming real. This will eliminate a large portion of the resistance you will experience as you observe what is happening in your environment and life. By believing that your desires are in the process of manifesting and that life is unfolding in the direction that you want you can remain more focused on the life that you want to create through your vision.

While you hold this frame of mind your next step should be to program your subconscious mind with a blueprint of the life you want. Your subliminal thinking should reflect that of your vision and desires.

This is the important step you need to make the law of attraction work for you. The only reason that you cannot keep your thoughts only on the things you want and find yourself constantly thinking about the things you do not want is because your subliminal thought processes are programmed that way. Your subliminal thinking is regulated by your subconscious belief patterns and these must be changed if you wish to experience success and accomplish your goals in life. You must program yourself to think like a winner. You must access the subconscious mind and ensure the programming takes place there if you are sincere about making measurable, lasting changes.

To begin to program yourself at a subliminal level you should begin with gratitude. Gratitude is the starting point for achieving the life you desire. By reminding yourself daily of the things in life that you already have and that you are grateful for, you will dramatically alter your perception and focus and draw more things into your life to feel grateful for.

Then you should create an inner vision of the life you want and begin telling yourself that everyday is bringing this vision closer to reality. Keep reminders of the vision in the form of pictures, written affirmations or anything that will bring your vision to mind when you encounter it. Ensure that these "triggers" do not cause you frustration i.e. they should not remind you that you do not have your desire but instead motivate you and remind you that you are moving closer to it with every passing day!

Be prepared to take appropriate action if you still feel constantly frustrated or remain in a negative frame of mind. Use your negative thoughts as a positive launching platform. Address the issues that are causing you concern. For example, you may want a promotion but feel, think and believe that you will never impress your boss enough to get noticed. Use that to your advantage. Begin to think of ways that you can use your natural abilities and skills to get noticed or acquire some new ones.

Unfortunately though, many times negative thinking has no real basis is fact. It is therefore necessary to start reprogramming your subliminal thinking and subconscious belief patterns. Seek out ways to accomplish a winning attitude that is automatic. Subliminal messages are an excellent way to reprogram the mind and ensure your subliminal thinking is in alignment with your conscious desires.

Visualize your dream life everyday ' once in the morning and once at night. Be thankful for what you have in life. Practise, on a daily basis, feeling gratitude for the workings of the universe and the law of attraction. It is this law that is ensuring that your vision is in this very moment in the process of becoming very real. Be grateful that you have the power to program your own subliminal thoughts and that by focusing on whatever you want you can bring it to you.

Subconscious Mind Resource Aids

By Stephen C Campbell

Subconscious mind can be defined as that part of our consciousness, about which we are not aware of, but it still affects our thoughts and actions. The subconscious-mind stores all our past information, experiences and memories and these are instrumental in shaping our character and life. It has tremendous power for influencing one's life to a great extent. The only thing is that this power remains hidden and can be brought to the fore by practicing some techniques.

The law of attraction states that all experiences in our life, whether positive or negative, are governed or affected by our thought process. Our thoughts affect our lives and all situations surrounding our lives. The law of attraction depends on a strong desire, great faith, spirituality, belief, sincerity, hard work, satisfaction, happiness, gratitude and openness. We can take control of our lives and situations around us by developing our thoughts and consciousness. The law of attraction and subconscious-mind can be utilized for the benefit of leading a successful life. You can achieve great wealth and success with the subconscious-mind resource aids.

Subconscious-Mind and the Resource Aids

The subconscious-mind has profound effect on one's life. The great 'Buddha' says that we are the result of our thoughts and we go on to make the world with our thoughts. The subconscious mind power is magnetic in the sense that it attracts all the things that correspond with its beliefs. The occurrences in and around your life are solely dependent upon you and your thinking. You create realities with your own subconscious beliefs. One must learn to take control and charge of one's life by changing their thinking and inner beliefs.

The subconscious mind has the power of maintaining and balancing the body's well being. The body has a self healing nature due to this. We have intuitive powers because of our subconscious minds that help in protecting us and our loved ones from some dangers and emergencies. All of our past memories and experiences are stored in the subconscious minds. The subconscious-mind receives information from the super conscious-mind and it also sends information to the super conscious-mind. The conscious-mind and subconscious mind are connected. The conscious-mind is the decision maker.

One can train one's subconscious-mind through various techniques and tools like affirmation, visualization, hypnosis, autosuggestion, binaural beats, emotional freedom, meditation, EMDR and subliminal messages. The affirmation process of training involves repetition of the goals or beliefs so that they are instilled into the subconscious mind. Affirmation can be done by writing of, verbal or mental repetition of, acting of or listening to the statement till it gets fixed into the subconscious-mind.

Positive thinking is the key to developing subconscious mind. In the visualization process, one has to see the desired thing in one's mind's eye and start living in the mind's eye completely. The goal has to be set properly and the focus needs to be maintained throughout. The subconscious mind communicates through intuition, so one needs to develop intuition.

Training of the Subconscious Mind

By Stephen C Campbell

The basic principle of the subconscious mind is that, whatever your mind can imagine it can create. Whatever you see, think or believe is sent to the subconscious mind and this then works with the universe to create real life situations which can lead to success or failure. You need to know how to use the power of the subconscious mind to achieve success. Your mind can create wonderful things for you if you know how to use it.

The mind has tremendous power, but you need to know how to use this power. Using the power of the mind to its full potential is very essential to achieve your goals and enjoying life. You need to master your own powers to achieve successful results in life.

Content

You can create the kind of life you want by developing the law of attraction which plays a dramatic role in everybody's life. The secret lies in knowing how to successfully use the laws of attraction to create the life you want. The inner thoughts, emotions and mental programming of the mind is so set that you tend to attract similar experiences time and again whether they are successful or negative thus affecting all aspects of your life like your health, wealth, relationships and more. You tend to attract similar situations and experiences, and if you want to break that pattern, you need to know a few simple techniques to make these laws of attraction work for you.

It mostly happens that we tend to repel the things we desire most in our lives and attract the things we do not want. This happens due to our energy levels and we can obtain. We tend to attract people with similar levels of energy and feel uncomfortable around people with energy levels much higher or lower than ours. People with higher energy levels tend to uplift the atmosphere and people with lower energy levels can leave us feeling drained and tired.

Conclusion

The level of energy affects our life experiences with some people becoming more successful than others. To avoid getting stuck up in recurring pattern of life experiences and energy levels you need to find ways to break out of these set patterns to make your life more successful and meaningful. The method of strengthening our vibrational level helps us to break out of the recurring patterns in our lives. You can develop the laws of attraction in your life by three methods which are visualization, relaxation and emotional control.

These techniques need to be inculcated at the deepest levels to attract the things that we desire and push away the experiences that we do not want. These laws need to be understood properly and used effectively in order to achieve a strong personal success vibration. Though it sounds simple, the ability to visualize correctly and arriving at the correct level of relaxation is difficult. Anyhow, successful visualization requires to be monitored.

How Hypnotism Works

As many of us think hypnotism is not some thing like a black magic which can be performed only by a blessed few. The fact is that hypnotism has nothing magical in it. It is only a technique by which a person performing hypnotism gives suggestions to a person undergoing a hypnotic therapy. The person who performs the hypnotic therapy is called the hypnotist and the person under going the hypnotic therapy is called the subject.

Normally the suggestions given by the hypnotist will de designed in such a manner to influence the behaviour of the subject of hypnotic therapy. If the suggestions are to be accepted by the subject it should be designed in a positive nature. If not the subject will reject the suggestions made by the hypnotist.
Contrary to our belief, one cannot make a person believe any thing and every thing through the procedure of hypnotism. Hypnosis is not a state in which the subject falls into a completely unconscious state of mind in which the hypnotist can take full control of the person so as to make him obey all the suggestions and commands made by him.

Even in a hypnotic sleep, the person under going the hypnotic therapy will be in full control of his mind. He will reject all suggestions that come against his belief. He can even come out of the hypnotic sleep if he feels any thing annoying during the hypnotic therapy. As most of us still believe it is not possible to extract every thing from the mind of person without cooperation from the part of the subject.

Hypnotism does not always require the presence of a hypnotist. It is possible to perform hypnotic therapy by a person who wishes to make himself subject to hypnotic therapy. In such cases both hypnotist and the subject will be a one and the same person. This type of hypnotism is known as self hypnosis.

Manifestation techniques such as meditation can be cited as an example for self hypnosis. By practising the techniques of self hypnosis one can easily inject positive thinking to his mind to increase the confidence level of his mind.

Hypnotic therapy is now widely used to correct behavioural problems of men by providing positive suggestions to such persons. It can also be used effectively in building self respect, controlling weight, improving personal relationships, treating alcohol and drug addiction, reducing stress and many other similar problems of individuals.

Benefits Of Hypnosis

By Donald B.

Hypnosis is a state of inner absorption, concentration and focused attention. Hypnosis is finding increasing usage in dentistry and other areas where pain management is important. Hypnosis is not a form of mind control and does not go against any religious beliefs.

Anxiety

Hypnosis can help anxiety disorders in many ways. In the latter instance, the parts of the mind that promote anxiety are quieted.

Practical uses for hypnosis

Hypnosis has been used in the treatment of habit disorders, anxiety, pain, stress; depression; and phobias; ; gastro-intestinal disorders; skin conditions; post-surgical recovery; relief from nausea and vomiting; childbirth; treatment of hemophilia; and many other conditions. Even with little understanding of how it works, hypnosis has been used in medicine since the 1950s to treat pain and, more recently, as a treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, irritable bowel syndrome and eating disorders
A growing study supports the ancient practice as an effective tool in the treatment of a number of problems, from anxiety to chronic pain. While hypnosis is best known for effective weight loss, to quit smoking, to lower anxiety and tension, for self confidence, fear, etc, the truth is, hypnosis may be useful for any topic that is influenced by the mind.

Hypnosis is commonly used to reduce stress and anxiety, and create a sense of well being. Many reports demonstrate that hypnosis can help patients reduce blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and pain for some length of time.

Hypnosis is not a type of psychotherapy. Hypnosis is a natural and revitalizing process with long lasting benefits.

Supraconscious Mind, Use It To Move Forward With Your Life!

By Tina Owens

Does your mind control you or do you control it?

Have you had the opportunity to really THINK about how our mind impacts our everyday lives?

Often times, we allow our subconscious thoughts (past or present experiences) to paralyze us from moving f-o-r-w-a-r-d with our lives.

If you are wondering what I mean when I say this, think about that dream job you’ve applied for over and over again, or that business you have wanted to start.

You are searching on the internet and you find your dream job again with a different company, or you see that others have started the business you wanted to start, yet you do not intend to apply for that dream job or venture out to start that business because of past or present experiences.

What about the person you met and felt an instant connection with and desired to ask them out, yet doubt/fear of being rejected or a previous relationship not working out keeps you from going there with them.

Moreover, you look at yourself in the mirror and you say I do not like the way I look. Your true desire is to lose weight.

Yet, you have tried to lose weight on numerous occasions and have not reached your goal.

You keep seeing products on TV that say that a particular product will help you lose the weight and keep it off.

Or, you see the person at your office and the person walking down the street that reminds you of the way you desire to look.

But, you keep thinking to yourself, “I will NEVER be able to look like that!”

“I have tried on many occasions and I keep failing to lose the weight or I am not able to keep the weight off!”

Our mind is what holds us back.

Once we are able to identify how our MIND is controlling the way we view our lives, we can then begin to create our life instead of react to life.

We will no longer allow doubt/fear to keep us from MOVING F-O-R-W-A-R-D.

I first heard of the word SUPRACONSCIOUS when reading the book Tomorrow’s God, Our Greatest Spiritual Challenge, by Neale Donald Walsch.

As I read this book I realized that when we are in tune with our SUPRACONSCIOUS Mind we are one with our Higher Self or God.

When we are in tune with ourselves and God, it is much easier to create the life we want.

Our SUPRACONSCIOUS Mind helps us to tap into ourselves or better yet, get real with ourselves in order to know our true desires and to help direct our conscious mind/thoughts with what to do to MOVE F-O-R-W-A-R-D with our intentions/goals.

Spend some time with yourself and your thoughts and see what they are saying to you concerning your life.

As you do this, you will begin to identify the past or present experiences/doubt & fears that have been keeping you from living the type of life you desire.

Myths About The Subconscious Mind

By: Stephen C Campbell

Consciousness is the fact of awareness of our thinking, feeling and doing. That is to say things that are done by a person, when the person knows that he is doing them. Although what a person does i.e. 'the response to external stimuli' may differ from person to person or even in the same person from time to time, the fact that every person is capable of responding, or reacting, is taken as a sign of consciousness. These conscious acts are referred to as the actions of the conscious mind. Similarly, but in the exactly opposite sense, certain acts are performed reflexively or without conscious awareness.

Say for example, the mind starts and continues to think about bad things even when the person does not want to think about them. This is from where thoughts like anger, hate, jealousy, lust and even the desire to harm others arise. These thoughts arise from the subconscious mind- which is an aggregate of the previous experiences of a person. The basis of these experiences is the manner in which the person feels, thinks and what he does. These experiences are stored in the form of subtle impressions in the subconscious mind. These impressions have a relationship with each other and their interaction with each other produces tendencies. It is these tendencies, which are stored in the subconscious mind, that determine how a person reacts in a particular situation.

The resultant of all the tendencies, as a whole, determines the character of a person. Depending on the strength and nature of their character people respond to the same situation in different ways i.e. the reaction differs according to the character of the individual. The entire concept of subconscious mind can be explained with a simple illustration. The world and its people have many preconceived notions about the subconscious mind. One mustn't formulate opinions before knowing the intricacies of anything and moreover, the subconscious mind is an issue that needs to be studied in the minutes of details.

Myths

The first myth is that subconscious memories fuel neurotic or psychotic behavior. This belief is bolstered by many psycho thriller movies. There is no scientific evidence for this and psychotic behavior is the result of many factors, including chemical imbalances in the brain. Then there is the belief that the subconscious mind is the reservoir of transcendent truths, no scientific proof has ever been offered for this theory.

Furthermore the line separating subconscious mind from the unconscious is very thin. This is because there is sufficient scientific proof to establish that some conscious perception goes on without self consciousness. It means that it is possible to be unaware of having experienced something and being unable to remember the experience, but still give evidence that one has experienced the same. Also it is possible that perfectly normal people give evidence that they have seen or heard something even though they are not conscious of having seen or heard the item in question.

How To Cultivate Imagination

By: Stephen C Campbell

Learning begins at birth and children learn things by playing. Creative play helps them in solving problems by imagining a particular thing. Children should be introduced and provided with learning opportunities early in their lives. This helps them in developing the skill set of a child and helps in its growth. With the help of playing puzzles, he develops social, physical, emotional and cognitive skills. These skills are very important in the development of a child.

Imagination and creativity is also developed in the him with the help of play. Any game that is creative allows self-expression and in the process builds their imagination and self belief in themselves. The skills of solving problems are also developed in a him by creative play.

A question may arise as to how creative play helps in the imagination and learning process of a child. By repetition of the skills required during play the children can develop imaginary skills. A puzzle that is creative offers various new ways to think and solve a problem. He is bound to think of solving different problems in different ways. This enhances his imaginary skills and develops his mind. If he interacts with others while solving a problem the social skills are developed. Different perspective and values are appreciated. By playing creative games there is enhancement of emotional development as by playing children can express their feeling among themselves. Each child has a unique personality and style of expressing themselves and both these qualities emerge during the course of play.

The parents should play an important role in developing the imaginary skills of the child. The toys and play things provided by parents should be exploratory and should develop creativity. Classical toys that are not electronically run and do not run on media are useful in developing the creative imagination of the child. These kinds of toys encourage cooperation and participation and in the process help in stimulating the learning process and have an interaction between children. The parents can play a vital role in the playing time of the child and in the learning process. Toys that are non-electronic are usually unstructured and have no rules.

The parents should give positive feedback to their children when they perform well in a game. One should ask questions to him and in case the child asks questions proper answers should be provided apart from encouraging questions. He should be encouraged to come up with more than a solution. The view of "not a single right answer" to a question should be incorporated into the minds of the child. This will help the child in thinking about a problem in different ways and different possible solutions. Time should be allowed for free play.

Toys that do not encourage creativity and imagination in the child should not be encouraged. A good range of toys should be provided. These play experiences in the formative years of the child helps in developing several skills like independence, competence and resourcefulness that are required in the life of a person.

The Power Of The Subconscious Mind

By: Charles Cox

The human mind has always been as mysterious and fascinating as anything in our universe, but the investigation of the mind has become quite a topic of experimental science in recent times. This scientific approach has paid dividends as we have discovered that mental processes connect to emotional experiences and have a subsequent affect on health and disease.

As the 20th century drew to a close, we became aware that there is a phenomenal connection between what happens in our minds and the affect our thoughts have on our bodies. Much of our serious diseases are believed to have significant mental and emotional factors. Lately, some recent research on health and wellness speaks about how our minds and how visualization techniques are now being used to fight disease.

We must remember that our minds are the center of a complex nervous system. We have networks of nerve cells that run throughout our bodies while connecting every tissue to our brains. Electrical impulses pass though these internal highways at very high speeds, even jumping across narrow gaps between cells, passing data to and from our minds. Our mind itself has two parts, a conscious and subconscious. Most of us are very familiar with the conscious mind as it organizes and runs our outer life. But an alarming number of our decisions that affect our life actually come from our subconscious. The subconscious is extremely powerful and has many functions.

Let us examine some of the functions of the subconscious. To begin with, our subconscious serves as a memory bank. Unbelievably everything that we have ever experienced is stored there. The subconscious actually stores a multitude of memory patterns which will feed information to the conscious mind when activated. Data is never erased unless the subconscious mind gives that command.

The subconscious also controls and regulates involuntary functions of the body such as breathing, circulation, metabolism, digestion, hormone balance, etc. Self hypnosis is often used to affect these areas.

Another function of the subconscious is that of being the seat of all our emotions. Since our emotions dictate the intensity of our desires which affect our behavior, thus, many behavior issues have a very strong emotional content. Self hypnosis can be used to release these stored emotions.

Also, the subconscious mind is the home of the imagination. Even when not used, all of us have an active imagination that can be used to create our goals. Creative visualization done in trance is one of the greatest secrets of success.
Interesting enough, our subconscious also carries out our habitual conduct. Through the utilization of direct and indirect suggestion in self hypnosis, we can develop a system of habits that support goals.

Finally, the subconscious is what directs our energy and drives us toward our goals. Using positive reprogramming the subconscious can be directed towards creating our goals. Self hypnosis is one of the most practical and effective ways to enter the subconscious mind.

Therefore, self Hypnosis is a great way to create positive changes in your life. It can be used to change bad habits, to achieve our goals, and as we have recently discovered, it can be used to fight sickness and disease.

You Have the Power to Change Your Life

By: Joan Sotkin

Tune into the news on any day and you will hear many victim stories. There are victims of crime, terrorists, incompetent doctors, miserable parents and corrupt business people, politicians or religious leaders. There are also victims of life’s circumstances such as poverty, the economy, industrial accidents and a long list of events that are seemingly out of anyone’s control.

To keep from being victims, people are taught the value of distrust and fear. Doors are double locked, complex contracts are written and hearts are closed to neighbors and co-workers.

Despite wide-spread efforts, the world has not become a safer place. Although crime statistics are finally starting to decline, there is still an enormous amount of random violence, terrorism and corruption. The world seems to be in a spiritual depression.

Can It Change? Is it possible to change the course of events and create world filled with love and trust? Can fear and dismay disappear from our lives?

I believe it can. But only if we are willing to step out of the victim position into a position of power. We have to stop asking other people, God or the government to take care of us and protect us from bad people and unfortunate events. We have to understand that we create our own reality and take responsibility for our own lives.

The Planet’s Healing Crisis What is happening on the planet now is not bad. It is only uncomfortable. The process of change always brings with it destruction of the old.

Imagine that the planet is a body, and all life forms are cells in the body. Right now, the planet is going through a healing crisis -- it’s as if it has a bad case of the flu. Toxic wastes are being released, emotions are clearing and corruption is being unmasked. And, as with any healing crisis, although the planet looks sick, it is going through a positive process of change.

No Need for Pain You can avoid long term discomfort and move towards inner peace if you understand two principles:

We are all in this together. Because we are all one being, anything that is happening on the planet is happening because of and to each of us. It is our collective consciousness that is creating our collective reality.

Just as we have the power to create discomfort, we have the power to create comfort. When the consciousness of mankind changes from dependency and victimhood to responsibility and power, we will no longer have the discomfort that is on the planet now. You Can Change the World If you are willing to change your attitudes and accept your own power, then you can help to change the world.

The process of planetary healing can be compared to what happens as the physical body recovers from a long illness. Practitioners can help you, but unless you are willing to take responsibility for your own health and change your attitudes, beliefs and the habits that caused your dis-ease, your never going to get completely well.

In order for there to be peace on the planet, each of us has to realize that we are not victims -- we are the creators.

We can have peace, but no one is going to do it for us. We are going to create a new world order when we accept our own divinity and understand that we are The Power, we are The Light. We are not “just” human because being human is being the divine force in action.

Christ said, “The kingdom of God is within you,” guru’s lead the student to the God within and spiritual teachers have been telling us for many years that we create our own reality. Now is the time for us to go beyond our intellectual understanding and come to feel the truth of our inner teacher. It is time for us to move to a new point of consciousness as we individually and collectively take responsibility for the Power and Light within us.

What You Can Do Now The are many ways that you can release the Power and Light within you.

On a physical level, you can begin to take better care of your body by eating fresh, whole foods, reducing the amount of sugar you consume, exercising regularly and taking care of dental problems you have been avoiding. You can also clean your home and create order if it is needed.

On an emotional level, you can begin to examine your feelings and learn how to express them. You can also make an agreement with yourself to stop depending on others to rescue you. When you feel like a victim, instead of asking, "Why is this happening to me?" ask instead, "Why did I create this?"

On a spiritual level, if you are not meditating, you can learn how to do this. Our simple instructions will make meditation a pleasant experience for you. You can also begin to reach out to other people and become an active member of an organization or your community.

Work to raise your consciousness to a new level by doing affirmations. The following affirmations can be spoken out loud, silently, or they can be written. A good time to do affirmations is during meditation, when you are driving in your car, exercising or doing mindless tasks like house cleaning or washing the dishes.

Use any of these or create your own.

I am The Power, I am The Light
I allow myself to trust myself
I release the power within me
I am willing to take responsibility for my life
I am willing to support myself in every way

Affirm it!

By: Joan Sotkin

Our thoughts, beliefs and emotions (TBEs) create our reality. Because we live in an infinite world, the possibilities of what we can create are infinite. The actual course of our lives is determined by the quality and nature of our TBEs.

If you want to change any part of your life, you will have to identify your TBEs, release those that cause discomfort, and replace them with others that will lead to what you want.

Because it has taken many years of intense programming for you to get where you are, it can take time to turn your life around. However, it can be done, and one of the most effective techniques you can use is affirmations.

Affirmations are statements that describe what you are and what you do with your life. By repeating certain phrases, you can change the programming of your subconscious mind and create a more comfortable life for yourself.

You can use these positive phrases to replace negative statements about yourself, such as I look awful, I'm not very talented, I can't earn much money, etc. Each time you make such negative statements, you are strengthening your negative life position.

Affirmations are simple to do and can be done any time during the day or during meditation. When you are doing mindless tasks, such as washing dishes, or when you are exercising, you can do affirmations.

Get to the CauseI have come to believe that we create our life stories to express buried emotions. For example, if you are often disappointed, then you are probably acting out disappointment that you experienced in childhood. You need the disappointment in the present time period in order to express the old emotions.

Once you identify the emotions that you are acting out through your life stories, you can begin the affirmation process by releasing your need for that emotion. If disappointment is your habit, then you can affirm, I release my need for disappointment. This will stimulate you subconscious to help you understand your need, which will lead to a change in behavior.

You can also affirm the opposite of your emotional need, such as I enjoy satisfaction or I am satisfied and create whatever I want.

(Note: In Prosperity Is an Inside Job, you will find a list of over 125 emotions, a method for discovering what you are expressing and techniques for releasing old emotions.)

Using Affirmations

You can create your own affirmations or use one or more of those that are listed below. In meditation, you may hear an affirmation that suits your needs. Once you choose an affirmation, repeat it over and over again. You might want to write it out 100 times to strengthen its effect.

Affirmations for Abundance:

There is limitless supply and it is mine
I release my need for financial insecurity
I am financially secure
I am surrounded by loving, giving people
I release my need to feel needy
I have everything I want or need
I release my fear of wealth and wellness
I am healthy and wealthy
I allow myself to prosper
I trust that I will create abundance
I have more than I need in every area of my life
I open myself to receive the abundance of The UniverseI release my need for debt
I am solventI am safe and secure
I enjoy a steady flow of positive energy
I am loved, accepted, acknowledged and appreciated
I have the resources to develop my creative expression
I am success
I freely express my creativity
I am living my dream
I have plenty of time and money

These affirmations were excerpted from Prosperity Is an Inside Job, which has many more affirmations and other techniques for turning scarcity into abundance.

Build Your Money Muscles has many more affirmations as well as a technique for strongly implanting them in your subconscious mind.

Tackling The Subconscious Mind

By dr c s shah

We all know something about our conscious mind. At least we can make certain presumptions about our consciousness. Consciousness for most of us is the fact of the awareness of our thinking, feeling, and doing. Although, the reactions to the stimuli may differ from person to person, or even in the same person from time to time, the fact that everyone is capable of reacting is taken as a sign of consciousness. These conscious acts are sometimes termed as conscious mind.

Similarly, certain acts are performed reflexively or without conscious awareness. For instance, mind goes on thinking bad thoughts despite attempts to control them. From where such thoughts as of anger, lust, jealousy, hatred, and even desire to harm others, come? Same is the case with good or noble thoughts also. Selflessness predominates in some persons to the extent that these persons give up everything and start working for the welfare of world. From where do such thoughts arise?

They arise from the subconscious mind. Subconscious mind is the sum total of our past experiences. What we feel, think, or do forms the basis of our experience. These experiences are stored in the form of subtle impressions in our subconscious mind. These impressions interact with one another and give birth to tendencies. We become prone to react in a particular way to a particular situation or stimulus depending upon the tendencies in our subconscious mind. The resultant of these tendencies determines our character. Depending on the strength and nature of their character people respond to the same stimuli or the situation in differing ways. The reaction varies according to the character of the individual.

Let us explain the concept with one example. The hot summer dries up everything, including the weeds, in a farm, and the field appears barren. Apparently there is nothing but black soil. Soon the rains soak the land and the imbedded seeds sprout up and fill the field with unwanted weeds again. The farmer never desired to have them, but when certain conditions were fulfilled the weed came to life. The rain water, the weather, and the seeds were sufficient to cause the weed to appear above the ground. However, the weed did not come with rain-water or from sky, or somewhere else; the weed was always present in the seed form in the soil itself!

Same is the case with us. There are impressions in the subtle form in our subconscious mind. On coming with contact with certain external factors the necessary conditions are fulfilled and these subtle impressions surface in their manifest form.

For instance, suppose there is silent unseen and unknown tendency to take alcohol, or to smoke, in our subconscious mind. Necessary conditions in the form of a friend, a bar, a cigarette vendor, etc. would bring forth the desire to drink or to smoke; and we are in there!

Another person has a latent or dormant tendency to seek God. The necessary external stimuli in the form of a scriptural text, meeting a Holy person, visiting a temple (or Church,) etc. attracts him/her, and what a wonder! the person is totally immersed in various spiritual practices, he becomes God centered. There never was any conscious effort or desire or thought to drink, to smoke, or to seek God. But fulfillment of necessary conditions was responsible for activating impressions in subconscious mind, and thus followed a particular behaviour.

But what about free will? Can we not choose the way we will react to a given condition or circumstance? Yes, we can choose; but the will is not absolutely free. The will, by which I make choices, behaves in accordance with my character, that sum total of all past deeds, thoughts, and feelings: The impressions not only from the present life, but also the whole record of many past lives that the subconscious mind carries.

Then is there no way out? There is. It is to follow the 'psychology of spiritual science'. We have to empty the mind of all unwanted subconscious impressions and tendencies: the weeds. It is almost an impossible task; almost but not totally impossible. It is possible to change the contents of mind (just as it is possible to sow groundnut seed so as to start replacing the weed). And as we have seen that the conscious experiences get stored up as subconscious impressions, we have to control and handle both conscious and subconscious mind. Our actions, thinking, and feeling should be such that the subconscious mind is cleansed of its dirty contents.

The Method

Suppose you have the problem of cleaning a dirty ink bottle that is fastened to the table. You can't pick it up and empty the ink out. What will you do? You pour clean water in the bottle, and the ink and the dirt will come out. You keep pouring in the clean water until all the ink and the dirt have been washed out and the bottle contains nothing but clean water. In the same way, although it is not possible to empty the mind by throwing out the contents of consciousness and making it blank; what one can do is to keep pouring clean water of pure thoughts of God, divinity, spirituality; virtues like love, selflessness, altruism, etc. into the mind until all the dirt of past impressions spills out.

During spilling out of this dirt, our character may appear miserable and suspect, but that is natural during the cleaning operation. The dirt of hundreds of past births may take quite some time to clear. Therefore, patience and perseverance are essential. One may feel dejected and depressed, and therefore, a Teacher, and Holy company is necessary. Sympathetic friends and attachment to a spiritual group are helpful.

Purer the mind better is the reflection of Divine/Truth therein. And to the degree the impressions on the mind are reduced, to that extent purer it becomes. Restlessness of mind and the number of desires have direct relation. Therefore, we have to reduce and control our desires. But this may create vacuum. And hence, it is better to desire for Grace of God, or for ability to discriminate and to have dispassion. In short, to tackle the subconscious mind, one should start filling the mind with noble thoughts by way of practice of meditation and yoga, discrimination and renunciation, selfless work and devotion.

The Secret Of Law Of Attraction & Your Subconscious Mind

By Stephen C Campbell

The basics of Goal Setting is an open secret known by top-caliber athletes, successful businessmen and businesswomen and all types of achievers in all the different fields from politics to acting. Accessing the subconscious mind and firmly implanting your goals there is critical to ensuring you will achieve those goals. Getting to grips with setting goals and invoking the law of attraction will give you short-term and long-term motivation and focus. They will help you set focus on the acquisition of required knowledge and help you to plan and organize your resources and your time so that you can get the best out of your life.

Consider this : the one thing high acheivers and self made millionaires have in common is the mastery of their minds - the most direct path to developing such mental mastery is to get to grips with your subconscious mind, Each one of us have billions and billions of brain cells at our disposal to aid us with our goal setting, our subconscious mind is at work twenty four hours a day controlling our digestive systems as well as our breathing - we should take advantage of this knowledge to get the law of attraction working for us.

There has been a lot of attention being given to the law of attraction recently and how it relates to goal setting. With advances in neuro science and the understanding of human behaviour we now understand how important it is to take control of our subconscious mind and use it as a tool to aid us in achieving our goals. Consider the following points and how they related to your life and your quest for achieving the life of your dreams.

1. Use a formula of recognize, reevaluate, restore in place of the should have, would have, could have formula used by the majority of the population. The former is based in increased knowledge, abundance using the law of attraction and your subconscious mind while the latter focuses on scarcity and lack. As you face people or tasks that may seem harder than scaling the summit of the Himalayas, allow yourself to realize that the task is just as important as giving out orders to your subordinates.

2. Keep humor at the forefront of thought, laughing at and with yourself when possible. You may find yourself quite entertaining when you loosen up! I am yet to see a comedian ever go hungry even though his jokes are as 'old as great-grandma'. Life has so much to offer to allow you to mope around in self pity. Humor is very attractive, very passionate: life-giving.

3. Believe that you are the architect of your destiny. No one can take your passionate future from you except for you! Create your life authentically - use tools such as subliminal recordings to assist you. As long as there's still breath in your body, there is no end to how much you can accomplish in a lifetime. The concept of thinking big is all about enjoying your work, which would lead to celebrate a discovery that is born within your hands. Watch everything flow into place with perfect, passionate precision.

Consider this : One neuron in your brain may be linked to as many as 50000 others; the brain is estimated to contain over 100 trillion connections. The total number of connections is higher than the number of atoms in the universe. Why not take advantage of this resource invoke the law of attraction and use your subconscious mind to aid in your goal setting ?

The law of attraction works in conjunction with your goal setting in the various areas of your life and with the use of subliminal recordings you can get your goals firmly implanted into your subconscious mind and propel yourself towards the life of your dreams.

Mind Messaging and Subconscious Mind

By: Francis Adam

Reclaim your body and your excitement about life.

It is a well-known fact that subliminal messages are real, infact, I use them to help individuals re-program their minds when they have been infected by what I call negative mental viruses and imprints. Imprints actually begin long before we become aware of them, and actually they begin when we are in our mother's womb.

We won't be speaking here about genetic imprinting, but rather about subliminal mind messaging. This happens at incredibly fast speeds as images and words are being flashed infront of your eyes at milisecond speeds undectable to the human eyes. Although the eyes cannot see the messages, or process them within the conscious mind, the subconscious mind picks them up and retains them.

So imagine you are sitting infront of the television set, or you walk into a store, get on an elevator, drive your car, go to a movie; you are being bombarded with subliminal messages over and over and over again. It could be thoughts that make you hungry, or angry, or give you a catalyst to "act" in some way contrary to your normal behavior pattern or demeanor. Or it can be inaudible whisper messages in audible programs. There are subliminal tape machines that professionals use to process self-improvement tapes, and these are also used in mass media productions. There are skeptics that will not believe this, but nonetheless it is true. Certainly there are laws in place that restrict the inappropriate use of such techniques, but who would know??? People do not have to believe in subliminal messages in order to be affected by them. It takes no effort. Subliminal messages are absorbed both through the eyes and the ears.

Although these invisible and inaudible messages can destroy our willpower to one degree or another, they can also be used to enhance our lives. Subliminal messages can be used to change your daily life in ways that are unimaginable to the average person. These messages can be used to imprint a new and positive behavior, or mental attitude. Professional sports players and executives and other prominent people around the globe use subliminal message sequences and hypno-therapy to help reduce addictive behaviors, perfect a skill, or be better at giving a speech, retaining information and many other enhancements to their personal lives. Simple ideas like repeating positive affirmations are lower levels of subliminal imprinting. If you see an encouraing statement every day, it will eventually affect you.

You can better appreciate how subliminal messages work when you understand that the mind is like an iceberg, with 10% being the Conscious Mind and 90% being the Subconscious Mind. Any message that is not filtered out by the critical Conscious Mind slips into the uncritical Subconscious Mind and has a massive effect on attitude and behavior.

This is actually a wonderful discovery and one that can greatly benefit the majority of people. How wonderful to be able to improve one's life without any effort. That's right - it takes no effort on the part of the receiver. You can even program yourself by placing positive messages on your computer screen, along with positive images too. That silly stuff you have heard about placing million dollar bills and checks written to yourself for thousands of dollars in conspicuous places really works! Controlling the Subconscious Mind

By Stephen C Campbell

One of the most important aspects of the human life is to control the subconscious mind. Keeping it under control is the best way of getting the maximum out of the life. Most of the people today know what consciousness is. Sub consciousness is in fact, the exact opposite thing. Sometimes, some acts are performed without any conscious awareness. Take for example; bad thoughts creep into the mind despite the hard efforts to restrict it.

There are many other emotions like anger, jealousy, and hatred that come in ones mind. It is a big question about the origination of these thoughts. This is the work of the subconscious-mind. Subconscious-mind is nothing but the total of the past experiences of a person. Thus, whatever a person does today is based upon the experiences of the past.

Techniques of controlling the subconscious mind:

One of the basic techniques of controlling the subconscious-mind is the breathing technique. This is the easiest technique and can be done anytime and anywhere. It can even be used in a routine basis like study, sitting or any other activity. This also reduces the stress level and is effective while the person is angry. There are several steps involves in this process.

Steps in this process:

In the first step, the person has to close his mouth and start breathing slowly through the nose. Holding the breath for sometime and imagining the fresh air to move all about the body is the second step. The last step is to breath out the air through the nose. Be absolutely relaxed and watch all the stress and pain go away after the process. This process has to be repeated several times in the day for the best result.

Reprogramming and controlling the subconscious mind

Controlling or programming the subconscious mind is very important. The process of controlling the mind involves two levels. In the first level, the influence on the mind of people between 0 - 12 is observed. All the various cultures and traditions are learned from them and all this information is stored in the subconscious-mind. This thing can be better explained with the help of an example. Suppose a teacher tells a student that he will never be able to achieve anything in his life. This message is saved in the subconscious-mind. This is a negative belief that has been stored in the student mind and it helps him perform better in the future.

The second level of controlling the subconscious-mind consists of the beliefs about the life and the world. For example, if a person thinks that he will never be able to succeed in his life, then he will surely not succeed because he has blocked all the positive thoughts that can elevate the subconscious-mind.

Controlling the subconscious mind is very important to master this mortal body. The subconscious mind has a lot of energy stored and harnessing it rightly, is the key to success in life.

Unleash Your Subconcious Mind Power

By Stephen C Campbell

To unleash your subconscious mind power means that you are letting yourself be controlled by the most precious gift for human mind. This is because, to unleash your subconscious mind is to unfold your capacity for total development. Yes, tapping the subconscious mind is an important medium that would aid you to develop physic, mental, emotional, social, and career growth.

Spirit Limited In the Flesh : The spirit in man is for the time being limited by the flesh; the cocoon of man, if you please. The same God spirit which presides in the individual, handicapped as it may be by the fleshly tabernacle, will some time leave the body and go into another and higher sphere of development, as the butterfly leaves the cocoon. And in that higher plane, where there is no limitation of the flesh, what may the spirit not be able to do? It may travel to distant lands and return in an instant, as our radio vibrations are sent out and caught by the aerials which link in fellowship all the homes of America from Boston to San Francisco. The spirit of man, when freed from the cocoon of the flesh, may have as little limitation as the pure essence of God himself.

So one should not become discouraged by the seeming paradox involved in the necessity of suggestion to a subconscious mind which is omniscient and divine. We have to suggest, because that is the way in which the process happens to work. The way to catch radio broadcastings is to have your aerial, and gather in the vibrations.

There may be millions of Universal radios vibrating through the Universal ether, but if you have no aerial and cannot listen in you do not know what is taking place. You catch the message by having your aerial and your radio machine, and without these you can never get it. It is the way it is done, that is all.

Programming the subconscious mind to work for us, we must recognize the way nature intended it to work. While it is encased in the cocoon of the fleshly tabernacle, it is amenable to suggestion; and this is the only way we are going to get it to work at such a stage, because this is the present way that God intended it to work. While it is limited by the flesh, we must work in the fleshly way. When it is freed from the flesh who may dream or prophesy what laws it will own or what heights it can reach. We are here now, and the way to get the omniscient part of us to perform the wonders of omnipotence, is to work according to the laws which God has laid down.

Omnipotent and Omniscient : Since the subconscious mind is both omnipotent (all-powerful) and omniscient (all-knowing), it knows everything which ought to be done for man's good; and if properly directed by suggestion will do it. It will find one's right environment, and lead one to his right vocation. It will select one's proper life mate, and attract abundance and happiness to him. Its omniscience gives it a thorough knowledge of man's cellular metabolism, glandular secretion, vascular, muscular and nervous activity, and indeed of all things pertaining to health and vitality; a knowledge which needs only the guidance of sincere and intelligent suggestion to make it the omnipotent corrective of every bodily unharmony.

Use Your subconscious Mind To Create Health

By Laurence

From the desk of Dr Magne, author with Wallace D. Wattles of The Science of Being Well Home Study Course "Thoughts are things", and therefore every thought, however small, has its corresponding effect.

This means You know the importance of the Mind in creating, or more accurately attracting our reality. every thought will attract to you whatever you predominantly think about. Unfortunately most people focus on the negative things in life. When they attract those negative things they ascribe them to such erroneous concepts as "bad luck", or "fate".

There is a secret that those who know it can apply to consciously create the exact reality they wish for with immutable certainty. Increasingly more people are doing exactly that, including many students of the home study course, judging by the many emails received detailing these successes.

One of the questions that arises is: "In order to attract the reality we wish for, is it necessary to focus on it constantly, to the exclusion of all other thoughts?” The answer is absolutely NOT.

The important thing to keep in mind, and to practice, is FIRST to never allow thoughts into your Mind that are contrary to your wishes, including destructive thoughts like fears, doubts and uncertainty. Any negative thought can be immediately cancelled by saying to yourself, either aloud or in your Mind; "cancel!, cancel!, cancel!", until the negative thought dissipates. Our objective therefore is to allocate time each day to find a quiet place, fully relax and focus on our wishes by using a Law of Attraction technique as detailed in Our Ultimate Reality.

Afterwards we put the object of our focus out of our Mind, and then ensure no contradictory thought including doubt thoughts enters our Mind. Busy people claim not to have the "time" or opportunity for one reason or another to focus on attracting wishes. The good news is that one of the most powerful times to focus on practicing is just before sleep. At this time we are much more connected to the subconscious Mind as our brainwaves slow down from the normal waking state to sleep state. The higher the frequency of our brainwaves, the less consciously connected we are to our subconscious Mind.

Why is the subconscious Mind so important? These are the main reasons:

1. The subconscious Mind is around 90% of our total Mind Power.

2. The subconscious Mind is sublime; it never, ever questions

3. The subconscious Mind is in permanent communication with our Higher-Self, or more correctly Inner-Self, and most importantly also with the Superconscious Mind; The Universe.

The route to attracting all of our wishes is to communicate those wishes to our subconscious Mind. We can take advantage of these facts by communicating our wishes to our subconscious Mind just before sleep with the following benefits:

1. No special time needs to be set aside during the day

2. Our connection to our subconscious Mind is strong

3. We take thoughts into sleep so they cannot later be questioned So after retiring to bed and just before sleep is one of the very best and most convenient times to practice a method for achieving literally anything you can possibly imagine.

In the Science of Being Well Home Study Course, you will find many examples and stories to help you develop your own powers of healing using simply the power of your mind. This is not revolutionary. Subconscious Mind: Mind Power Tips

By Steve Goldberg

For years, I have been absolutely fascinated with the power of the subconscious mind. It’s power have made the sick healthy, the poor wealthy, and the sad happy. Those who understand and apply the methods for using the subconscious mind find themselves bathed in more abundance and joy than they could have ever imagined. In this article, I will explain two of the most powerful tips for harnessing and applying your subconscious mind power, to help you achieve far greater success than you have ever dreamed.

As you might already be aware of, the subconscious mind is the seat of all memory, fears, phobias, behavioral patterns, habits, beliefs, and expectations. An astonishingly true fact is that only 2-4% of our day is controlled by our conscious mind, and the other 96-98% is all done by the subconscious. 96% of all your decisions, actions, thoughts, feelings are all done automatically, unconsciously by your subconscious mind.

It is amazing to think how much our subconscious mind does for us. It beats our heart, digests our food, and breathes for us all without any conscious effort. With all of the amazing things it does, our subconscious doesn’t always do everything we want it to. Many people have realized that they have several bad habits of doing and thinking, and understand that in order to grow and prosper, those habits must be changed. But herein lies the problem most people face. How do you change the subconscious to promote success in all areas of life?

The answer is simple. You must harness the power of your subconscious mind. The first technique in order to do that is called suggestion. A suggestion is a passive statement given to the subconscious to either accept or reject. Hypnotists use the power of suggestibility to promote changes in their subjects. When a person is in a deeply relaxed state, their conscious mind is out of the way, and the gateway to the powers of subconscious is open. This is where true changes happen. In order to suggest the subconscious to change, the body and mind must be completely relaxed. A person must first have a reason to change, and accept the new suggestion. Then the suggestion for change may be given with intense emotion and desire so that the suggestion is firmly accepted.
In quick summary: Enter a deeply relaxed state – Subconscious is open to suggestion – Give suggestion and firmly accept with intense emotion.

The next subconscious mind power tip is repetition. If you are suggesting your subconscious to accept the idea of wealth in your life, using repetition can help firmly implant that idea quicker and easier. Our reptilian brain is highly receptive to ritual and repetition. Repetition of an affirmation, or suggestion, such as “I am wealthy and successful” helps firmly implant the idea deeply into the subconscious mind. Over long periods of repetition, the suggestion will reshape thinking patterns, habits, and deeply held beliefs. The entire neuronal structure of your brain will begin change in order to promote the new idea of wealth and success. And once the idea is finally accepted without doubt or question, new worlds of possibilities begin to arise.

In summary: Repetition is the tool of suggestion – Repeat an affirmation for change in a deeply relaxed state – Repeat on regular intervals to help the reptilian brain accept the suggestion (repeat affirmation with intense emotion every morning, deeply relaxed, for 10 minutes for a period of one month or more).

These two subconscious mind power tips can help you clear mental and emotional blockages in your life that are withholding your from your full potential. The power of suggestion to the subconscious mind, combined with ritualistic repetition is the ultimate key to unlocking your mind, and achieving all that you desire.
